Volunteers are essential to the success of the league
, and we appreciate your willingness to support youth sports in Shelby Township. In accordance with Little League regulations, all prospective managers, coaches, assistant coaches, and any other volunteers for the Shelby Township Little League are required to complete a volunteer form.  

  • Even if you volunteered for the program previously, you must submit a completed volunteer form and a copy of your driver's license or valid State ID to be considered for a position for this season.
  • In compliance with Little League rules, and for the well being of the players, volunteers will not be permitted on the field until a current year Little League volunteer form is submitted and a background check has been completed.
  • Any requests to manage, coach or volunteer in any capacity for a team should be made at player registration time. 
  • Download your 2016 VOLUNTEER FORM  here.  You may complete the form electronically and email or fax it back to the Shelby Township Parks, Recreation and Maintenance Department with a copy of your driver's license or valid State ID.

Michigan Sports Concussion Law required on-line awareness training program

To meet the requirement of the law all coaches, employees, volunteers, and other adults who are involved with a youth athletic activity must complete the concussion awareness on-line training course. Click on the link below to watch the approximately 30 minute training. Then be sure to print and save the certificate that is at the end of the training session. Forward a copy to Shelby Township Parks and Recreation and save a copy for yourself.
