I need help installing my child’s car seat. Who should I call? STFD currently has two members who are certified child passenger safety seat technicians. They are available, by appointment, to inspect your seat for expiration and recalls, help with installation, educate you on proper seating positions, and answer any questions you may have. Please call 586-731-3476 ext. 3 to set up an appointment.
Do you offer CPR classes? Yes, we offer two types of CPR training that alternate monthly throughout the year. Please visit our section on CPR Training for more information.
How do I schedule a fire-related educational program or engine visit? Please contact Deputy Fire Marshal Duane Staten at 586-731-3476 ext. 2723 or email@example.com. Your request should include the event, date, time, location, and point of contact including a contact number for the event.
What should I do with an expired fire extinguisher? We suggest you take the extinguisher outdoors and empty it into a large garbage bag to depressurize it. You can then throw the empty canister in the bag and put it out with your regular trash.
Does the fire department service fire extinguishers? No, however you can find local fire extinguisher businesses in the yellow pages or online to service them.
