Fire Prevention Annual Open House

Each year the Shelby Township Fire Department hosts an open house in observation of the National Fire Protection Association’s Fire Prevention Week. The open house is a family-friendly event that provides an opportunity to tour the fire station, meet firefighters and participate in many fun, educational activities.

The annual Shelby Township Fire Department Open House will run 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 12 at Fire Station No. 1 at 6345 23 Mile Road. Come and join the Shelby Township Fire Department in celebrating National Fire Prevention Week.

Meet your Shelby Township firefighters and become educated about fire safety. The theme for this year’s Fire Prevention Week is, “Not Every Hero Wears a Cape. Plan and Practice Your Escape.” For more information, visit nfpa.org/fpw.
