Schoenherr Road reconstruction

The Macomb County Department of Roads is planning to reconstruct Schoenherr Road between 23 Mile Road and 26 Mile Road in Shelby Township. The proposed project is anticipated to address traffic congestion, safety concerns and deteriorating road and bridge conditions.

MCDR hosted a community open house to share proposed plans and additional information regarding the project Nov. 18 at the Shelby Township Library. If you could not attend the meeting but have questions or require additional information regarding the project, please contact MCDR at 586-463-8671 or geninfo@rcmcweb.org.

For more information on the project visit macombgov.org/departments/department-roads/schoenherr-road-reconstruction.

All surface roads within Shelby Township are under the jurisdiction of the Macomb County Department of Roads, the Road Commission for Oakland County and the Michigan Department of Transportation. The township does not have jurisdiction to repair, expand or maintain any roads within its borders. The Township Supervisor's Office and the township engineer serve as the liaison between the township and the county and state road authorities.
