Operating under the "Stay Home, Stay Safe" Executive Order, effective midnight March 24, the Charter Township of Shelby closed Township Hall and all associated buildings until April 13. Residents may still call any township department to leave a voicemail message. Appropriate personnel will return calls as soon as possible. Residents can also email township staff at firstname.lastname@example.org for general questions.

The Shelby Township Community Relations Department provides accurate information to the public through all means of communication. The Community Relations Department is divided into two divisions: Communications and Broadcast Services, which oversees the Shelby TV studios and content.
Communications also maintains and updates information on the township's website, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media channels.
The Broadcast Services, or Shelby TV Division, is responsible for the Township's government access channels. Each station offers residents an alternative to keep informed of the workings of Shelby Township government and programs that highlight the reasons why Shelby Township is a better place.
Broadcast Services compiles multi-media productions for broadcast on YouTube Shelby Township TV.
