That is why the Shelby Township Downtown Development Authority is inviting businesses within the DDA District to participate in a brief survey to help us better understand your needs and identify the best ways to support your business and the Van Dyke Corridor through targeted investments, communication, and programming.

The Shelby Township Downtown Development Authority (DDA) was created in 2006.
Located on Van Dyke Ave., the Shelby Township DDA includes all businesses on Van Dyke Ave. from the township's southern border with the city of Utica, north, to its border on 26 Mile Road. With more than 1,000 businesses, the Shelby Township DDA is a unique mix of many sectors featuring businesses of various sizes. If customers are looking for something, anything, or everything, they can find it on Van Dyke Ave. in Shelby Township..
The DDA's primary purpose is to correct and prevent deterioration and promote economic growth within Shelby Township's principal business district. A primary benefit of forming a DDA is that the Township is able to reinvest the incremental increase in property taxes that results from improvements in the district back into the district, wisely stretching the value of every dollar spent.
This site features information on our operations, meetings and services for our 1,000 businesses.
