Construction Board of Appeals Hearing

Pursuant to the authority contained in 1972 PA 230, Section 16, as amended, of the Michigan Construction Code Act (MCLA 125.1516), a hearing will be held pertaining to the following requests:

1. Approval of Minutes - CBA #25-07 - December 10, 2025 Hearing

2. CBA #25-06 - 56258 Van Dyke, Vate Tinaj, Owner, Bread and Roses - PREVIOUSLY TABLED

2021 Michigan Building Code as referenced by the 2021 Michigan Rehabilitation Code

Section 1809.5 - Request to omit frost protection on footings.

3. CBA #26-01 - 13019 Pauline, Jeff Lockemy, Owner, Bridges Spectrum Therapy

2021 Michigan Plumbing Code:

Section 918.4 - Request to allow the height of a stack-type air admittance valve to be less than 6" above the flood level rim of the highest fixture being vented.

4. CBA #26-02 - 45460 Market, Raj Patel, Novak Construction Company, Costco

2015 Michigan Rehabilitation Code for Existing Buildings

Section 402.1 - Request to construct an addition onto an unlimited area building that does not meet current requirements for open space surrounding the building.

All parties are expected to be prepared to present competent evidence regarding the request. The hearing will be held in accordance with Township procedures and 1969 PA 306 of the Administrative Procedures Act.

Exhibits pertaining to the above-mentioned issue are available upon request to the Building Department.

Official minutes of the Construction Board of Appeals are maintained within the offices of the Building Department and are available during normal business hours.
