The mission of the Shelby Parks, Recreation and Maintenance Department is to provide organized sports, leisure, cultural and educational programs, and outdoor recreational opportunities in a safe, healthy environment, providing members of the community with progressive recreational, cultural, leisure and educational programs.

Shelby Township's Parks, Recreation and Maintenance Department strives to offer a wide variety of quality programming, activities and events for all ages and interests. The PRM Staff works year-round to provide an ever changing array of leisure opportunities that will enrich the lives of the members of our community.

Shelby Township's quarterly newsletter, "Shelby Township News Worth Knowing" includes a listing of our current offerings as well as news and information about the Township's other departments. The publication is mailed to every household in Shelby Township and Utica and can also be downloaded from this website.

The Shelby PRM Department Offices are nestled among the trees on the Shelby Township Municipal Grounds at 52700 Van Dyke Avenue, just south of 24 Mile Road.
