Located on the south side of 24 Mile Road, east of Van Dyke Avenue

 

The crack of a bat and the roar of a crowd are some of the many sounds of Summer you’ll hear almost any day or night of the week at Mae Stecker Park. Opened in 1974, this 14-acre parcel was named in memory of a former Shelby Township Clerk. The park is located at 8600 Twenty Four Mile Road, on the south side, east of Van Dyke.

 

Outdoor Pavilion - For Rent
It is located on the south side of the volleyball area - behind the garage.  The site will hold up to 30 people and the cost is $50 for residents and $80 for non-residents.  Please call the PRM Office for availalbe dates.  (586) 731-0300.

Mae Stecker Park’s playscape was erected in 1997 with financial assistance from the Shelby Township Fraternal Order of Police. The tennis courts, and sand volleyball pits make this park popular for all ages.

The park’s features include a small indoor pavilion with modern restrooms and meeting room, 3 lighted softball diamonds with electronic scoreboards, basketball courts, 1.5 mile hiking trail, picnic tables, tot lot & Shelby FOP playscape, sand volleyball pits, tennis courts, and a picnic shelter.
