The Shelby Township Department of Public Works is dedicated to maintaining a safe, potable water supply for domestic use and fire suppression while providing a quality of service above the expectations of our customers.
In doing so, our crew of trained individuals maintain over 325 miles of water mains and 175 miles of sanitary sewer mains. Over 21,000 households are billed on a quarterly basis. In 2001, the Department of Public Works distributed 3.3 billion gallons of water.
